All the patients shown below were treated with implants by Dr Peter Young. All the work has been successful.
		This lady suffered a fractured, infected front tooth. There was bone and gum missing which Dr Young needed to be build up in order to achieve a very good cosmetic result. Implants in the front of the mouth (in the cosmetic zone) are internationally classified as advanced or complex implant treatments.
		This gentleman had very loose dentures and was unable to chew properly. The infected teeth were removed and implants placed into the upper and lower jaw. The patient is very pleased to be able to eat well again.
		This lady had localized gum disease which destroyed the bone around the tooth. The bone was re-built and an implant and crown were fitted. She remains delighted with the cosmetic result.
		This lady had implants placed in Liverpool which had failed quickly. Some years later she wanted to was due to undergo implant treatment for the 2nd time and was booked in for implant surgery in Manchester. Her own dentist thought there was no bone for implants and asked Dr Young to provide an independent opinion. A special 3 dimensional x-ray (CT scan) was arranged by Dr Young. This showed there was insufficient bone for the implants to be fixed into. The surgery that was planned at another clinic could not have worked. This information was disappointing for the patient but she avoided undergoing further implant treatment that could not have worked. Dr Young will never advise you to have implants if they are unlikely to work or would not be in safe in your particular circumstances.
		The patient underwent implant treatment at another clinic. The implant was painful and unsightly with substantial gum missing due to complications. Dr Young removed the implant and rebuilt the bone and gum. A nice cosmetic result was achieved and the implant Dr Young inserted is now comfortable and healthy.
