STAFF PROFILES

Meet The Team Below  are the staff who make the clinic work so well.  They play a major role in delivering dental implant treatment to the very highest standards in a prefessional and caring way.  I am delighted to have such a good team to work with.

	Dr Peter Young (PhD 2001 a clinical thesis 'Bone augmentation in oral implantology', in the speciality of oral + maxillofacial surgery) I have been providing dental implant  treatment since 1989. I will be involved in your implant treatment through all its stages and will make sure you understand what is involved. I am senior lecturer in oral implantology at UCLan, the new dental institute in Preston and Clinical Course Leader for the MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry.  I am active in research and teaching. It is a great pleasure to teach dentists how to provide implant treatment to a high standard. Patient appreciation is what motivates me when providing surgical and implant treatments. We have a very strong reputation for our caring approach and excellent cosemtic long term results. An increasing part of my job is correcting implant treatments provided elsewhere and getting a good result.  My outside interests are wide and include playing and watching football (Man U fan) fishing (fly and saltwater) tennis, music and cooking.
	Miss Jill Ball Hygienist / Practice Manageress I qualified as a dental hygienist at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester in 1989, and have worked at the practice since 1991. I may see you before your implant treatment commences if your gum health needs improving. I will always see you after restoration of your implants to show you how to clean your teeth and implants.  I will show you the best oral hygiene devices and the best cleaning techniques. Good home care is crucial to ensuring your impants  look good and stay healthy.  I am a member of the British Dental Hygienist Association and attend meetings to ensure I am up to date. I am also the practice manageress. Outside of work I am a keen runner and walker and enjoy cooking.
	Mrs Tracy Treweek Senior Dental nurse / Receptionist / Implant Co-ordinator I qualified as a dental nurse in 1989. I gained a further qualification in Oral Health Education in 1992 and in Dental Radiography in 1996. I have worked with Peter since 1994 and I am the senior nurse. I will be responsible for co-ordinating your implant treatment. I am registered with the General Dental Council and keep up to date with the profession by continuing professional development. My hobbies and interests include travel, reading and the gym.
	Miss Mandy Noden Dental Nurse / Receptionist I have worked at the practice for 4 and a half years as both receptionist and dental nurse. My duties include working on the reception desk, making appointments for patients, dealing with incoming enquiries and ordering stationery. I passed my Dental Surgery Assistant (DSA) course in 2008 and I  assist Peter and Tracy  with dental implant placements. Outside of work my interests include egyptology and reading.

 

Mr Steve Dunn Dental Technician Steve is our main dental technician and works nearby. He has been making implant crowns and bridges for 20 years. For the best cosmetic results you will need to visit him at his dental laboratory. He has played a major role in our implant successes.
